Campfire Monkey Bread

  • 1 - 8 ct Refrigerated biscuits
  • 4 TBSP Butter
  • 4 TBSP white or brown sugar
  • 2 TBSP Cinnamon
  • 2 TBSP Butterscotch pudding mix
  • Cooking spray
  • EQUIPMENT: cutting board, knife, tin foil, plastic bag

Instructions

Yields: 4 servings       Prep time: 5-10 minutes       Cook time: 45 minutes

  1. Cut biscuits into quarters.
  2. Mix sugar, cinnamon, and butterscotch pudding in a plastic bag.
  3. Add 16 biscuit quarters to the plastic bag and shake until evenly coated.
  4. Spray tin foil with cooking spray and add coated biscuit pieces to the tin foil.
  5. Cut 2 TBSP of butter into squares, and scatter them through biscuit quarters.
  6. Sprinkle 2 TBSP of sugar mixture over biscuits.
  7. Seal the tin foil packet tightly.
  8. Repeat with remaining biscuits, making two foil packets in total.
  9. Discard the leftover sugar mixture.
  10. Place tin foil packets on the edge of the grill over a medium-heat fire. (Do not place them directly over the fire, as the sugar will burn.)
  11. Rotate the tin foil packet every 15 minutes.
  12. Check tin foil packets with a fork for doneness after 40-45 minutes.
  13. Once the biscuits are done, remove the tin foil packet from the fire and enjoy.
