Recipe
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350F 2. Blend together and mix oil and sugar 3. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined 4. In a separate bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients making sure no lumps remain 5. Gently stir the dry ingredients into the oil and sugar 6. Grease a 9 x 9 pan and pour the batter into it smoothing off the top 7. Bake for around 20 minutes or until the sides of the brownies start to pull away from the pan 8. Very important – please cool before cutting otherwise it will be a crumbly mess. 9. Note: Sometimes when we were feeling ambitious, we’d add walnuts to the batter and would top with homemade chocolate ganache (recipe below)
