Ingredients
- 1 loaf of frozen bread dough
- ½ c of sugar
- 4 tbs butter
- 1 TBS cinnamon
- Icing
- 1 c. confectioner sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 -3 tbs whole milk
Instructions
Prep Time: 5 hours, 15 minutes
Equipment: loaf pan, parchment paper, basting brush
- Line the loaf pan with parchment paper and place frozen bread dough in the loaf pan.
- Next, make four deep slashes into the top of the loaf and set aside to thaw for one hour.
- After one hour, melt butter and mix sugar and cinnamon.
- Baste the dough loaf in butter. Be sure to get the butter into the deep slashes and sprinkle generously with sugar cinnamon mixture.
- Then flip the loaf over, baste the bottom, and sprinkle generously with the sugar-cinnamon mixture and proceed with doing the top once more until all the butter and sugar-cinnamon mixture is used.
- Place dough in a warm place for 4 hours or until it’s above the top of the loaf pan.
- Place in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- While cooking, make the icing by mixing confectioners sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla, and 2 TBS of milk until creamy and set aside.
- When cinnamon bread is done, drizzle icing over the top and serve warm.
