Simple and Satisfying 2 Ingredient Camping Pies

Ingredients

  • 1 can of apple pie filling 21 ounces (or whatever pie filling you prefer)
  • 1 package of 8 inch uncooked flour tortilla shells - 8 count
  • Caramel topping (optional)
  • EQUIPMENT: Blackstone griddle, or flat griddle over fire

Instructions

Yields: 8 serving

  1. Spray flat griddle with cooking spray and lay an uncooked tortilla on medium heated griddle.
  2. Once it starts to bubble, flip over and add 3-4 TBSP of apple pie filling (or filling of your choice) to one side  of the tortilla and fold over the other half.
  3. Cook for 30 seconds-1 minute (watching carefully not to burn tortilla).
  4. Flip and warm on the other side for 30 seconds more.
  5. Remove from the griddle and prepare remaining tortillas. 
  6. Plate and add your favorite toppings such as caramel drizzle or ice cream.

The taste and texture resembles the infamous apple pie from a famous fast food restaurant. Be sure to try your hand at this fast and simple dessert on your next camping trip.
