Check out these luxury RV resorts across the country!

As RVs have become more sophisticated, so, too, have RV resorts. Some resorts have locations, amenities and services designed to appeal to the most discerning motorcoach enthusiasts.

Perhaps not surprisingly, some of the nation’s most luxurious RV resorts are located in highly sought after destinations across the country, from the Florida Keys to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to Newport Beach, California.

Here are a few RV resorts whose locations and amenities appeal to RV enthusiasts who are seeking some of the most luxurious camping experiences in the country:

  • Gold Canyon Resort in Gold Canyon: This resort complements its 9-hole executive golf course with two swimming pools, tennis and pickleball courts, a batting cage, men’s and coed softball teams, hiking and biking groups, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a 40,000-square foot clubhouse, and onsite bar and bistro.
     
  • Palm Creek Resort and Residences in Casa Grande: A focal point at this resort is its par 3 championship golf course with two lakes and a creek that crosses one of the fairways. Other amenities include swimming pools, pickleball courts, tennis, lawn bowling, a fitness center, multiple dog parks, and two restaurants.
     
  • Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort in El Mirage: This resort features an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course. Other resort amenities include a 40,000-square foot clubhouse, a fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, water volleyball, horseshoes and lawn bowling, and an onsite bar and grill.
     
  • Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort in Mesa: This resort features an 18-hole championship golf course and a 9-hole executive golf course. Other onsite amenities include swimming pools, tennis pickleball and volleyball courts, a restaurant, a fitness center, and ballroom and banquet hall.

Gold Canyon RV Resort in Gold Canyon, Arizona

  • Coachella Lakes RV Resort in Coachella: Amenities at this new RV resort include an 18-hole championship putting course as well as heated swimming pools and hot tubs, a 24-hour fitness center, a clubhouse and business center, pickleball courts, and a walking path.
     
  • Motorcoach Country Club in Indio: This resort has 400 privately owned lots for Class “A” motorhomes. Amenities include an on-site restaurant, two miles of waterways and a challenging golf course with nine greens with four sets of tee boxes. Fourteen of the holes require an approach over the park’s waterways and lakes. Total yardage for the course is approximately 1,850 yards. Other amenities include a swimming pool with a water aerobics program as well as pickleball, tennis, and bocce courts.
     
  • Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina in Newport Beach: This resort’s RV sites include beachfront RV sites along Newport Bay. Onsite amenities include hydrotherapy pools, an inflatable water park with floating climbing structures, watercraft rentals, including pedal boats, standup paddle boards, kayaks, and Duffy boats, and summer movies on the beach. A beachfront bar provides hand-shaken margaritas and other cocktails, while food service is available inside the resort. Park model RV rental accommodations are also available.
     
  • The Springs at Borrego Golf and RV Resort in Borrego Springs: This resort features a David Pfaff-designed, 9-hole championship golf course with a dramatic island green, lakes, water features and frequent sand traps. Other resort amenities include an outdoor salt pool and spa, hot mineral baths, a spacious fitness center, tennis, pickleball and volleyball courts, lawn bowling, horseshoes, as well as catch-and-release fishing ponds and lakes and an outdoor amphitheater for live music concerts and basketball games.
     
  • Sun Outdoors Paso Robles in Paso Robles: Amenities at this resort include two swimming pools and two Jacuzzis, multiple off-leash dog runs, walking trails, a wellness center, and a wine bar and bistro that features stone fired gourmet pizza. The resort also offers a splash pad and playground for children, and outdoor games for adults and children, including a bocce ball court, as well as a kid’s camp. The resort also has a large banquet facility designed for weddings, reunions, and other large gatherings. Park model RV rental accommodations are also available.

  • Bluewater Key RV Resort in Key West: This resort offers four levels of luxury, including silver, gold, platinum, and platinum plus. Amenities include fiber optic Wi-Fi and high-definition cable; a 200-foot dock with individual 25-foot boat slips, a kayak launch, a temperature-controlled swimming pool, and community clubhouse.
     
  • Fiesta Key RV Resort & Marina in Layton: This 28-acre resort features waterfront RV sites, an onsite marina, a swimming pool and hot tub, onsite food service, and plenty of areas to enjoy the sunset.
     
  • Sun Outdoors Islamorada in Islamorada: This all-ages 136-site resort in Islamorada opened in May and features RV sites and rental accommodations with ocean views. Amenities include a heated swimming pool, state of the art clubhouse, and poolside cabanas.
     
  • Sun Outdoors Sugarloaf Key in Summerland Key: This resort, formerly known as Lazy Lakes RV Resort, reopened in October 2023 with 73 full hookup RV sites and 20 vacation cottages following a multimillion-dollar upgrade. Blue Water Development Corp. said it invested just over $14 million into the purchase and renovation of this resort, which is located in the Florida Keys along a seven-acre saltwater lake surrounded by parks and mangroves. Resort amenities include Aqua Bana, kayak and paddleboard rentals.
     
  • Sunshine Key RV Resort and Marina in Big Pine Key: This Encore RV resort is located on the 75-acre island of Ohio Key, near Big Pine Key in the lower Florida Keys. Amenities include waterfront sites, boat slips, a swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and an onsite store. Watercraft rentals are also available, including kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, as well as jet ski tours, snorkeling, sandbar trips, sunset cruises, reef fishing and offshore fishing.
     
  • The Surf RV Resort in Palmetto:  This 55-and-over RV resort opened in late 2022 and caters to short-term stays with 449 sites. Amenities include an elegant clubhouse with a yoga and aerobics room, game room, library, business center; ballroom; food and beverage service; an outdoor kitchen; an infinity pool and spa; a poolside bar; multiple dog parks, a dog wash station, lighted sports courts.
     
  • The Tides RV Resort in Palmetto: This luxury RV Resort opened in January 2020 with 389 sites on a 95-acre site that includes a fully stocked catch-and-release fishing lake, heated resort style swimming pools, a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse with kitchen facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness center, pickleball and shuffleboard courts, a dog park, and scheduled activities and special events.
     
  • Torrey Trails RV & Golf Resort in Bowling Green: Amenities at this luxury resort include a 9 hole golf course with mature oak trees; a welcome center; a 65,000-gallon swimming pool; a state-of-the-art fitness center with indoor and outdoor sections; tennis, shuffleboard and pickleball courts; luxurious clubhouse overlooking a lake, an outdoor pavilion and a poolside bar called Pineapple Jack’s.
     
  • Yacht Haven Park & Marina in Fort Lauderdale: This is a park where you’ll see both Class A motorhomes and yachts. But while the yacht owners are usually just visiting, RVers who stay at this park often come with their own boats, which they use for day trips for fishing and sightseeing. The 20-acre park has a mile of frontage along the New River, which connects with the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. While the park doesn’t have actual boat slips, it can accommodate anywhere from 45 to 60 vessels up to 150 feet in length.

    Park owners Gary Cioffi and Christopher Hein have invested more than $20 million in improvements to this park in recent years, reconfiguring the RV sites to make them more spacious and updating them with modern amenities. Each RV site has been updated with landscaping, synthetic lawns, driveways, patio areas, fiber optic Wi-Fi, and utility hookups.

    The resort has also added kayak and paddleboard rentals, pontoon boat rentals, and a 55-foot Sea Ray Sundancer that can be chartered for sightseeing and fun on the water. Concierge services are onsite to help guests plan their meals and activities.


    The park’s swimming pool has sleek wooden sundeck, a poolside Tiki Hut with hammocks, and a nautical-themed bar. Steps away is a sunny recreation area with cornhole, shuffleboard, a fire pit and plenty of open space to unwind. The resort has also added kayak and paddleboard rentals, pontoon boat rentals, and a 55-foot Sea Ray Sundancer that can be chartered for sightseeing and fun on the water. Concierge services are onsite to help guests plan their meals and activities.

  • Traverse Bay RV Resort in Williamsburg: This resort is restricted to Class A and C motorhomes and 5th wheels that are 28 feet or longer. Amenities include oversized lots with personal patios and exclusive areas for Class A motorcoaches to our resort style pool, spa, and fitness center. Tennis and pickleball courts are also available as well as nature trails through serene hardwood forests and pine preserves. The resort also features 12 cascading shimmering ponds with lighted fountains and nesting blue heron, swans, and ducks.
     
  • Hilton Head National RV Resort in Bluffton: This resort opened in late 2021 with 341 70- by 20-foot sites and upscale amenities, including fiber optic WiFi, over 160 cable TV channels, a resort-style swimming pool and lazy river, an onsite restaurant and 2.1 miles of walking trails, all of which are next door to an 18-hole championship golf course. This resort is the first RV resort developed by Hilton Head National Golf Course owner James McGlothlin.
