Things to Do
In addition to visiting Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, no trip to the area is complete without a visit to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the winter ski slopes transform for the summer into a paradise of outdoor adventure.
Sightseeing
See the Tetons from the sky. Ride the iconic Aerial Tram 4,139 vertical feet to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain. Once at the "Top of the World", enjoy hiking trails, viewing platforms, and of-course, world famous gourmet waffles at Corbet's Cabin.
Hiking
Enjoy stunning vistas of the Tetons and valley below along Teton Village hiking trails. Challenge by choice, hike from the base of the village to the summit of the Aerial Tram or use lift access to reach stunning high alpine hikes fit for any ability level.
Dining
The most scenic dinning experiences sit atop Bridger Gondola. During the day Off-Piste market offers coffee, waffles, and grab-and-go bites. In the evening the Deck at Piste is transformed to serve appetizers, dinner, and drinks high above the valley floor with expansive views of the area and occasional live music.
Family
Endless family activities await at the base of Teton Village and at Solitude Mid-Station. The climbing wall, bungee trampolines, ropes course, and wild woods play area are sure to be a hit with any young adventurer.
Biking
Choose your own adventure: Race down the newly-expanded Jackson Hole Mountain Resort bike park or cruise along the scenic bike path between the town of Jackson and Teton Village.
Adventure
For those that want to get their adrenaline pumping, challenge yourself on the Via Ferrata, a guided climbing experience atop the Bridger Gondola. Walk the iconic suspension bridge as you take in the stunning views of the valley below. Also at the top of Bridger Gondola, experience the most unique views of the valley as you take flight over the ski runs with a tandem paraglide ride. Before the day is done, be sure to play a round of disc golf near Solitude Mid-Station.
Places to Park
The base area of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers free and convenient day parking for RV’s, campervans, and trailers in the resort’s Ranch Lot. Teton Village is just 12 miles northeast of the Town of Jackson and one-mile South of the Granite Canyon entrance station to Grand Teton National Park. In the village base-area, pathway bikes are available for rent at Teton Village Sports for scenic rides along the designated bike paths and into the Town of Jackson. This area offers access to countless mountain activities including, trail rides, hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, sightseeing, disc golf, and more.
Town of Jackson parking is available on most public streets for up to 72 hours at a time during the summer season. Day parking is also available in various free public parking lots year round.
For those looking for more than day parking, the area boasts a wide variety of campsites and RV parks both inside and out of Grand Teton National Park. Most of the popular campsites and parks book up quickly, so it is best to make reservations as early as possible. However, hope is not lost for the spontaneous last-minute traveler as the area is also home to a handful of stunning dispersed campsites that operate on a first-come-first-serve basis.
