Mama's Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 2 sweet apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup purple grapes, diced and seeded
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 pint whipping cream (do not substitute)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Directions

Lightly mix first five ingredients; whip cream with electric mixer until thick (careful, it will turn into butter); add sugar to whipped cream and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla. Fold into fruit/nut mixture. This should be served fresh, as it turns dark after refrigeration for more than a day.
