Oven Temp: Low
- 1 10-oz. jar apple jelly
- 1 cup granulated sugar*
- 2 pounds grapes, washed and well drained
Melt the jelly in a shallow pan in the microwave or over very low flame. Spread the sugar on a paper plate. Cut the grapes into small bunches. Dip the grapes in the jelly, then drag through the sugar. Pile the sugar-crusted bunchlings into a serving dish and help yourselves.
Make it at the last minute, especially in humid weather, or the sparkly coating will become sticky. *If you can get a coarser sugar, such as turbinado, the "ground glass" coating will be even crunchier.
