Easy Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped ham
  • 1 package dry corn chowder soup mix
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 2 cans whole kernel corn
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 can whole potatoes sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste
  • Onion powder to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste

Directions

Sauté onions and ham until brown. Add all remaining ingredients to a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat or if on the campfire, move over to keep warm for 30 minutes, simmer and enjoy. You can add any veggie you like – we sometimes add shredded carrots to the pot. This is a fast and tasty meal.
